The MNP (Mesauda Nail Pro) Lacqwear Primer is an essential, professional bonding agent specifically designed to prepare the natural nail before a manicure. This acid-free primer acts like double-sided tape between the natural nail and the subsequent base or color coats. It is every nail technician’s most important secret weapon for ensuring maximum adhesion and effectively preventing the dreaded lifting of polish at the nail edges.

How it works:
The product removes residual moisture from the natural nail and regulates the pH level of the nail plate without damaging or drying out the nail’s structure, as it contains no harsh acids whatsoever. It ensures an absolutely clean, oil-free surface. This drastically extends the longevity of semi-permanent nail polish, gel, or acrylics. Even for clients with so-called “problem nails,” where polish would otherwise chip quickly, this primer ensures a flawless result that lasts for weeks while also protecting the nail from discoloration.

Application:

  • Preparation: File the nails into shape, gently push back the cuticles, and lightly buff the nail plate with a fine buffer to create a matte finish. Thoroughly remove any nail dust.
  • Dehydration: First, clean and degrease the nail with a dehydrator (e.g., MNP PH Prep).
  • Applying the Primer: Pick up a very small amount of Lacqwear Primer onto the brush. Wipe the brush well on the neck of the bottle and apply the product in an extremely thin layer to the natural nail. Be sure to avoid contact with the cuticles!
  • Drying: Allow the product to air dry for 30 seconds. The primer does not cure under the lamp; it leaves a slightly glossy, tacky layer that serves as an adhesion layer.
  • Next Steps: Immediately follow with your desired base coat (e.g., Lacqwear Base Coat) and cure it under the UV/LED lamp.

Our tip:
The Lacqwear Primer is the absolute key to a manicure that lasts just like a salon manicure! Many people make the mistake of applying the primer much too thickly—but here, the motto is strictly: “Less is more!” If the brush is too wet, the product can seep into the cuticles, which later has the exact opposite effect and leads to lifting. Our pro tip: Wipe the brush until it looks almost dry, then gently dab it onto the center of the nail. The product will spread on its own like a wafer-thin film over the rest of the nail. This way, your manicure will stay rock-solid for weeks!
